A moment of silence, please.

During my childhood, one of the bright spots of the week was on Saturday night.  The Muppet Show had the singular ability to take me out of my world for 30 minutes a week with great music and fun characters.

Today, I note the passing of Jack Parnell.  Though his name might not be familiar to you, anyone who watched The Muppet Show as a child, or even as an adult, knows his work.   Mr. Parnell was the conductor of the orchestra and music consultant for the show.  In muppet form, Nigel was the conductor of the orchestra, seen in the ballroom sketches.

Thank you, Mr. Parnell, for all your great work.
